Simple Halloween Sewing – Sunday 15th October – Morning

Do you want to make some custom items for Halloween that are straightforward but effective? This workshop will be perfect for you! We’ll make a lined, reversible tote bag that’s perfect for trick or treating. The sample is made using a Panel Print available in the shop but you can use any fabric you choose. We’ll also make a ‘popper tray’; this tray is great as a container for handing out sweets but un-pops to sit flat making it easy to store for next year. The sewing is all pretty straightforward and suitable for beginners, although binding the tray might push you a little! We will also go over (but not sew in the class) a few potential expansions to each project. You can piece your tray from multiple fabrics and make it bigger. You can also make tote bags in whatever size you choose and even box the corners to hold lots of shopping!

You are, of course, welcome to come along to the class to learn to make reversible tote bags and popper trays and do them without a Halloween theme!

You will need your sewing machine, fabric, and ribbon, interfacings and webbing. We will provide poppers for one tray. Exact details will be sent with your order acknowledgment).

This class is suitable for those with basic sewing skills, experience with cutting fabric to size would be helpful. You must have basic experience with machine sewing.
