Shutter Speed Quilt Sunday 31st January – Morning
Tutor: Jo Avery Workshop 10.30am – 1.30pm
Jo Avery is returning to teach one of her most popular workshops! Have you ever wanted to make a wonky improv curve quilt but haven’t had the confidence? Would you like to improve on your curved piecing, or try it for the first time? This workshop may be the one for you! Jo designed this quilt for the 2020 Quilt Planner magazine to give the organic effect of improv curves but using regular templates. The 6 different ‘ring’ blocks are quartered and then mixed up to make new wonky blocks. Each of the 6 block options will fit together to make the quilt so you can have fun with this and create something unique to you! This morning class teaches you everything you need to know and allows you to make several blocks but has slightly less in-class practise and making time compared to the full-day pre-covid class.
You will need your sewing machine and fabric (exact details will be sent with your order acknowledgement). This class is for those with competent sewing skills, especially those who have been on previous patchwork courses. You must have experience with machine sewing.
