Flying Geese Hot Water Bottle Cover Wednesday 17th March – 31st March – Evenings
3 Evenings – Wednesday 17/03/21, 24/03/21 and 31/03/21 7-9pm
Tutor – Catriona Brown
We’ll start off this class by discussing 4 different methods of making flying geese, giving you a really great understanding of the best ways to make them. We’ll then use the method of your choice to make 20 flying geese blocks. We’ll sew them together with some additional fabric into two panels then layer and quilt them in the pattern of your choice. After quilting these we’ll cut out all the pieces needed for a fabulous padded hot water bottle cover. Finally we’ll tackle using bias binding round curves to assemble it all together with a neat, professional finish. This makes a fabulous and functional gift, but you may not be able to resist keeping it for yourself!
This is a great class for those of you who have attended one of our beginner patchwork classes and now want to try out new techniques. But it’s also suitable for total patchwork beginners, though sewing machine experience is necessary. Bring your sewing machine, fabric (exact amounts will be sent with your order confirmation) and basic sewing kit. Sewing machines are available on request.
