Easy Economical Baby Quilt
Sunday 24th March – full day 10.30am-4pm
Tutor – Catriona Brown
In this class we’ll make a simple but effective baby or toddler quilt that’s specifically designed to be made with 1.1m/44″ wide quilting fabric whilst making the most of every square inch. This is suitable for post beginners or more experienced quilters that want something that comes together quickly and easily. We’ll be going over simple piecing of squares (whilst having your seams line up!) and adding borders to a quilt with no distortions of the fabric. The quilt will measure approximately 40″x45″ and features 7 main fabrics in squares, a thin border and a wider border. The squares will ideally come from a 15cm by WOF strip to be most economical but can also be cut from a Fat Quarter. We’ll be happy to cut 15cm strips for you in the shop if you want to get your fabric here!
More info will be sent with your order confirmation.
You need to be able to use a sewing machine to take this class. Being able to use a mat, ruler and rotary cutter is not essential but would be helpful.
