Drawstring Pouches – Sunday 24th September – Afternoon

Do you want to increase your confidence with basic straight line sewing and come out with a great result? This workshop will be perfect for you! We’ll make a lined, drawstring pouch in your choice of fabric and size. This is all simple sewing but you can make beautiful, useful pouches that can be used for wrapping gifts, storing craft projects and much more! My example pouches are made using a great cheater print we have in the shop, this allows for pouches with lovely centred designs on each side. We’ll also go over (but not sew in the class) a few more advanced drawstring pouches, such as those with boxed corners to make bottle bags and turning it into a simple backpack.

You will need your sewing machine, fabric, and ribbon or cord (exact details will be sent with your order acknowledgment).

This class is suitable for those with basic sewing skills, experience with cutting fabric to size would be helpful. You must have basic experience with machine sewing. It makes a good follow up to our ‘This is a Sewing Machine’ class.
