Cathedral Window Wednesday 9th and 23rd June – Evenings
2 Evenings 09/06/21 and 23/06/21 – 7-9pm
Tutor – Catriona Brown
Learn the fascinating technique of Cathedral Window in this workshop with Catriona. This is a very different way to make a patchwork quilt that makes a finished multi-layered block so no basting and quilting is required! This class will cover Catriona’s favourite, (less traditional) method that involves a lot more machine sewing and achieves a scrappy patchwork result. We’ll be aiming to make 4 large cathedral window blocks to make a small cushion cover or wall hanging but its easy to continue adding blocks at home if you want to aim for a whole quilt. The results are really stunning and the project is a great way to use up scraps or charm packs.
You will need fabric (exact amounts will be sent with your order confirmation) and your sewing machine. This class is suitable for those with some patchwork experience who are comfortable with using a rotary cutter and achieving a quarter inch seam.
