Applique Circle Quilt – Sunday 17th September and 8th October – Afternoons

We’ll be learning how to make this surprisingly easy quilt over the course of two half days. We’ll piece the background fabric in the first half day and learn the easy hand stitching and ironing technique to turn under the edges of our circles. You’ll have 4 weeks of homework time to get all your circles prepped. In the second class we’ll mark up our quilts and get our circles arranged and pinned in place, we’ll then at least make a start on getting them all sewn down by machine. There are 3 different sizes available for you to make, 60”x80”, 60”x60” and 42”x52”. You are also welcome to develop your own design!

This is an interesting and different technique that makes a relatively quick quilt and is great for featuring precious hoarded fat quarters. Bring your sewing machine, fabric (exact amounts will be sent with your order confirmation) and basic sewing kit. Sewing machines are available on request.

This is a great class for quilters of all levels but you must be familiar with using a rotary cutter, ruler and mat to cut fabric as well as being able to use a sewing machine.
