Appliqué Animal Panels – Sunday 24th September – Morning

£30.00

Appliqué Animal Panels

Sunday 24th September – Morning 10.30am – 1pm

Tutor – Catriona Brown

Lewis & Irene are collaborating with Delphine Brooks, a textile artist and designer from Warwickshire to produce the Farmyard Collection. This is a series of digitally printed panels designed to make it easy for you to make stunning raw edge appliqué animal blocks that will look great as a wall hanging or made into cushions. MyBearpaw will be getting 4 different Panels in.

This class is designed to get you started on making the animal panel of your choice. We’ll cover accurately cutting out the shapes, fusing them on and securing them with the stitch of your choice. We’ll also discuss potential quilting and what you can do with your finished panel. We almost certainly won’t finish making your animal image in the single morning class but you’ll be confident on how to complete it.

All of the fabric required is printed on each individual panel as well as the main piece to ‘fill’ with the fabric as desired.

This class will involve a lot of cutting and ironing and a sewing machine is the best way to secure your fused pieces. However it is possible to do this with hand sewing if you’d prefer. This class is suitable for complete beginners.
