A Month in the Country Quilt Thursday 1st Feb to 22nd March
Jo Avery 8 sessions Evening Class 7.00 to 9.00pm
Over the course of a year we will complete Jo’s mammoth BOM quilt from Today’s Quilter. In this first 8 week session we will cover 11 of the blocks, including Flying Geese, Bird Houses, Spring flowers, Tiny Houses (!) and Snowflakes. Amongst the techniques covered will be FPP, EPP, machine and hand applique and HST methods.
In the summer we will offer one or two full day classes to cover the three hand applique blocks, however you will be provided with the patterns anyway and as you will have learnt the technique you can work away at home on your own if you prefer. In the Autumn there will be another 8 week session to cover the remaining 11 blocks, including more techniques such as reverse applique.
This is a very personal quilt for Jo and she is so excited to share it with a select few of her students! You will need your sewing machine and fabric, exact amounts will be sent with your order confirmation. Suitable for students who have already attended Jo’s Beginner’s Patchwork and Quilting class. Some sewing machines are available to borrow.
